Kage / Kirie Wiki
Kage and Kirie are tools to create visual novel-style games based off of the Japanese open source KAG/KiriKiri created by W.Dee. The purpose of the project is to create a branch of the project with full support for western (English) scripts, dialog boxes, and program environment, as well as fully translated documentation so English-speaking audiences can create their own visual novel-style games.
About the projects
KiriKiri is a powerful scripting engine written in C++ with wide multimedia support. It was primarily created for use with KAG.
KAG stands for Kirikiri Adventure Game, and is written entirely in KiriKiri scripts. It provides a basic framework for visual novel-style games.
Kirie is short for KiriKiri English. It is a branch of the Japanese KiriKiri created to provide support for English dialogs and error messages.
Kage is short for KAG English. It is a branch of KAG with full English menus and windows, as well as support for features necessary for English-language text games, such as proper word wrapping.
